Sheet Metal Assembly Services

Quest-Tech offers quality sheet metal assembly services for fabricated products and components. Whether your needs relate to operational activities, outsourcing, a single project, or demand has exceeded the capacity of your plant, we are prepared to help you meet your company’s goals. At Quest-Tech, we understand the processes and challenges faced with both standard and non-standard metal fabrication and assembly services. We work in-house with metal components, such as sheet metal and metal hardware, to produce products to meet your specification and design.

Assembly Services Equipment & Capabilities

Quest-Tech has a long history of working with the customer and their drawings to be able to assemble a finished product in-house. We use a wide range of tools, including pneumatic and electric power tools with variable torque settings, along with various manual tools. When looking to get the assembly done, Quest-Tech makes sure that the right tool is available for the right process.

If you do not want to be incorporating nuts into your product, Quest-Tech offers both PEM setting along with Weld Nut installation services. We also have the capabilities to weld studs onto your product if this is what your job requests. For a more permanent fastening measure, Quest-Tech also offers riveting within our assembly processes.

PEM Setting Services

Quest-Tech offers PEM-setting operations for our customers with 3 state-of-the-art PEM-setting machines that can set complex sheet metal parts made of stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, and other alloys. Whether your needs require self-clinching, surface mount, flaring, broaching, or weld technology, our PEM-setting machines provide strong, reusable, and permanent threads and mounting points in thin sheet metal, and other ductile or non-ductile thin material.

Weld Nut Services

Quest-Tech also offers weld nut fastening for our customer through the use of our 2 spot welders. Weld nuts can be incorporated onto the surface of stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum as well as other metals to provide a permanent threaded feature on your finished parts to be able to be used for standard fasteners.

Stud Welding

Stud welding joins a metal stud to a metal workpiece and is used in everything from kitchen appliances to the building of bridge decks and construction of tankers and military ships. Quest-Tech offers stud welding for applications used in the manufacturing of stainless steel components, with capability up to 3/4 inch (19mm) studs of various lengths and for standalone machines.

Riveting Services

Riveting is a crucial step in the assembly of metal parts and components. We offer professional fastening that joins work pieces together. The connection can bear shear loads, including those that are perpendicular to the axis of the shaft. Standard smooth, cylindrical-shaped rivets or an assortment of styles, sizes, and materials are available for any type of hardware installation for any final product assembly.

Riveting assembly work is automated with pneumatic hammer rivet installation providing fast, easy, reliable finishes. It also allows for near limitless variations in design. Once riveted, components are permanently fastened and ready for demanding environmental conditions and applications. The result is a sturdy, long-lasting part that can hold up to waterproofing, high vibrations, heavy loads, and much more.
